Soccer Recap: Neuqua Valley Falls Short Against Ranked Metea Valley

Neuqua Valley faced Metea Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Wildcats took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Neuqua Valley couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Alexis May, who's now up to three this season.

The defeat snapped Neuqua Valley's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-2 record. As for Metea Valley, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Neuqua Valley will head out to face off against Downers Grove South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Metea Valley, they will venture away from home to challenge Batavia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
