Basketball Recap: Savoy Takes a Loss

Savoy was the 46-36 winner over Fannindel when they last played one another on January 7th, but their luck changed this time around. The Savoy Cardinals fell to the Fannindel Falcons 44-38. While the Cardinals didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Falcons 8-4 in the first quarter.

It was another big night for Kor'Ziareona Aubrey, who posted 32 points along with eight rebounds and four steals for Fannindel. That makes it 20 consecutive games in which Aubrey has scored at least a third of Fannindel's points.

This is the second loss in a row for Savoy and nudges their season record down to 17-10. As for Fannindel, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-16.

Savoy will head out on the road to challenge Ector at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fannindel, they will be playing at home against Dodd City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
