Recap: Roncalli Royals vs. Center Grove Trojans
If the Roncalli Royals were feeling good off their 65-38 takedown of the Pike Red Devils last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Roncalli took a 60-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Center Grove on Tuesday. Roncalli has not had much luck with Center Grove recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Several Royals players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Taylor Turk, who scored 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Lindsey, who scored 9 points along with 3 steals.
Center Grove's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rachel Wirts, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Ava Grant, who scored 15 points.
Roncalli's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Center Grove, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Roncalli's road trip will continue as they head out to face Whiteland at 7:30 p.m. on November 28th. As for Center Grove, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Franklin Community at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Franklin Community focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday.
