Soccer Game Preview: Marshall vs. Clinton

The Marshall Owls will face off against the Clinton Cardinals at 6:40 p.m. on Thursday. Marshall will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Marshall's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Mexico with a sharp 8-0 victory. Considering Marshall have won five matchups by more than three goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Clinton had just enough and edged out Bolivar 3-2 on Friday. The win continues a trend for Clinton in their matchups with Bolivar: they've now won three in a row.

The victory got Clinton back to even at 3-3. As for Marshall, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.

Marshall skirted past Clinton 2-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Will the Owls repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
