Recap: The Village School of Naples Knights vs. South Fort Myers Wolfpack
On Friday, The Village School of Naples had to suffer through a rough 77-43 loss at the hands of South Fort Myers.
Leading South Fort Myers to victory were Ja?mahdi Ward and Avery Thomas. Ward dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, while Thomas scored 16 points along with five assists and four steals. Thomas is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Lazaro Rodriguez was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.
The Village School of Naples has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for South Fort Myers, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-9.
The Village School of Naples won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Island Coast at 4:30 p.m. on January 6th. As for South Fort Myers, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marco Island Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Marco Island Academy has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 30.
