Avon put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Perrysburg Yellow Jackets by a score of 2-0. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Yellow Jackets, too.

Avon never let Perrysburg on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-22.

Avon can attribute much of their success to Caroline Busold, who had eight digs and three aces.

Busold wasn't the only good servers: Avon was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Perrysburg didn't served any.

Avon's victory bumped their record up to 17-0. As for Perrysburg, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-5.

Avon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Liberty-Benton on the 27th. As for Perrysburg, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Lake on the 27th.
