Ascent Classical Academy had won three straight road games and Ayla Cowdrey did her part to make it four on Monday. The Guardians were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the William Smith Eagles for which the team can thank Cowdrey, who had 15 assists and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Ascent Classical Academy took every set by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-11, 25-13.

Ascent Classical Academy's victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for William Smith, they are on a 21-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.
