Soccer Game Preview: Hearne vs. Lorena + How To Watch

Hearne hasn't had much luck against Lorena recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the Leopards at 5:00 p.m. Hearne will be strutting in after a win while Lorena will be coming in after a loss.

Lorena will be up against a hot Hearne team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Eagles walked away with a 3-1 victory over China Spring on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, while the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was La Vega who was credited with the win on Tuesday. The Pirates got it done in the shootout by posting six goals to Lorena's five. While losing is never fun, Lorena can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 475th, while La Vega are ranked 81st).

Lorena now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Hearne, the victory got them back to even at 3-3-1.

Hearne suffered a grim 8-2 defeat to Lorena in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Eagles were down 5-2.
