Baseball Recap: Satellite Falls Short of Key West in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Satellite can now relate to. They came up short against the Key West Conchs on Tuesday, falling 11-5. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Scorpions, who until this matchup were averaging 3.27 runs allowed.

Brady Roberts was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

Satellite's defeat dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Key West, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 19-10 record this season.

While Satellite had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
