Basketball Recap: Chincoteague's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Chincoteague came into Tuesday's contest having lost nine straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Northampton Yellowjackets by a score of 42-32 on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Ponies: when they faced off against the Yellowjackets back in January, they had to take a 41-29 loss.

Chincoteague's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Northampton, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Chincoteague didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 39-23 loss against Holly Grove Christian on the 5th. As for Northampton, they will challenge Nandua at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
