Liberty has gone 5-0 against Emerson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Liberty Redhawks will venture away from home to challenge the Emerson Mavericks at 5:45 p.m.

Liberty is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Memorial just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 45-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Redhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while the Warriors are ranked 32nd).

Meanwhile, Emerson didn't have too much trouble with Centennial on Friday as they won 43-25.

Emerson has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 17-14 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.2 points per game. As for Liberty, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-13.

Everything came up roses for Liberty against Emerson in their previous matchup back in January, as the team secured a 58-27 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Liberty since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
