Baseball Game Preview: Philo Electrics vs. Sheridan Generals

For the second straight game, Philo will face off against Sheridan. The Electrics will challenge the Generals at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Philo has given up an average of 9.5 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Philo took a seven-run defeat the last time they faced off against Sheridan, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Electrics narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Generals 13-11. The Electrics' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Garrett Tom was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Gooden, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5.
