Volleyball Game Preview: Upsala Cardinals vs. Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] Huskies

The Upsala Cardinals will be taking part in a tournament against the Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] Huskies at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.

On Tuesday, Upsala didn't have quite enough to beat Benson and fell 3-2. While the Cardinals didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Benson 25-12 in the first set.

Upsala took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 12-25, 25-20, 22-25, 25-13, 15-13.

Meanwhile, Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 3-0 win.

One reason for the win was Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia]'s just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-12, 25-8.

Upsala has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia], their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.
