If Nuview Bridge was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Nuview Bridge Knights came up short against the West Valley Mustangs on Monday, falling 3-0. The Knights' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Nuview Bridge was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-15, 25-20.

West Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Diego Allievi led the charge by getting 20 digs and five kills. Allievi is on a roll when it comes to kills, as he's now had five or more in each of the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlvin Valdez, who had 25 assists and seven digs.

Nuview Bridge's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for West Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.

Coming up, Nuview Bridge will head out to challenge Desert Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for West Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against San Jacinto Leadership Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
