Basketball Game Preview: Perrysburg Yellow Jackets vs. Lima Senior Spartans

The Perrysburg Yellow Jackets will head out on the road to take on the Lima Senior Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Perrysburg will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.

Last Friday, Perrysburg earned a 55-42 win over Northview. Given the Yellow Jackets' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while the Wildcats are ranked 356th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lima Senior, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They were the clear victor by an 81-56 margin over Dunbar on Saturday. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 25 points or more this season.

Lima Senior's victory was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.2 points over those games. As for Perrysburg, their win bumped their record up to 15-3.

Everything came up roses for Perrysburg against Lima Senior in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, as the team secured an 80-42 victory. Will Perrysburg repeat their success, or does Lima Senior have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
