Baseball Recap: Kenston Gets the Win

While Kenston's victory against Chagrin Falls wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bombers skirted past the Tigers 7-6. The Bombers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers on Wednesday, too.

The team relied heavily on Grady Flynn, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Kenston: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-15 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Latz, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Kenston kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Kenston's win bumped their record up to 7-16. As for Chagrin Falls, they dropped their record down to 10-14 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Kenston will square off against Mayfield at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Chagrin Falls, they will challenge Lakewood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
