Soccer Recap: Great Bend Comes Up Short

Great Bend was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 7-1 to the Garden City Buffaloes. While losing is never fun, Great Bend can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas soccer rankings (they are ranked 87th, while Garden City are ranked fourth).

Great Bend's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10-1. As for Garden City, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Great Bend will head out to take on Dodge City at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Garden City, they will venture away from home to square off against Blue Valley North on Saturday.
