Basketball Recap: Macks Creek Piles Up the Points Against Osage

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Macks Creek). They breezed by the Osage Indians to the tune of 67-33 on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Pirates, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Macks Creek got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was India Willis out in front who dropped a triple-double on 23 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 steals. Those 11 steals gave Willis a new career-high. Addison Ratliff was another key player, going 10 for 15 on her way to 24 points and six rebounds.

Macks Creek was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.

Macks Creek's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Osage, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Macks Creek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 60-50 victory against St. Elizabeth on the 7th. As for Osage, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-28 loss against Linn on the 7th.
