Soccer Recap: Decatur Comes Up Short

After flying high against West Morgan last Thursday, Decatur came back down to earth. The Decatur Red Raiders fell just short of the Hartselle Tigers by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Red Raiders in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost six in a row.

Decatur's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Hartselle, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.

Decatur didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Priceville on the 28th. As for Hartselle, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Mars Hill Bible on the 3rd.
