Tri-Valley had already won five in a row and they went ahead and made it six on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the El Paso-Gridley Titans. The Vikings were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Titans, so the Vikings were just returning the favor.

Tri-Valley easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-21.

Tri-Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Elle Filarski out in front who had four digs and two aces.

Tri-Valley's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for El Paso-Gridley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-8.

Coming up, Tri-Valley will square off against Bloomington at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for El Paso-Gridley, they will host Bloomington Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
