Tumwater had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Aberdeen Bobcats with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Thunderbirds also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.
Leading Tumwater to victory were Lalie Betschart and Milani Palizzi. Betschart had 13 digs and two aces, while Palizzi had five aces. Those five aces gave Palizzi a new career-high. Corinne Sadlemyer also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.
They weren't the only good servers: Tumwater was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in five consecutive contests.
Tumwater's victory bumped their record up to 10-2-2. As for Aberdeen, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.
