Softball Game Preview: Parkersburg Big Reds vs. Ritchie County Rebels

The Parkersburg Big Reds will face off against the Ritchie County Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Parkersburg is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Parkersburg came up short against Cabell Midland on Friday, falling 18-3.

Kendall Kimes made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Krista Durkin was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Ritchie County entered their contest against Nicholas County on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Rebels lost 22-5 to the Grizzlies. Rebels fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Grizzlies since on Saturday.

Ritchie County's loss dropped their record down to 11-3-1. As for Parkersburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
