Brazoswood and Clear Creek are an even 3-3 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Buccaneers will welcome the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brazoswood is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

On Friday, Brazoswood came up short against Deer Park and fell 30-19. While losing is never fun, the Buccaneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 394th, while the Deer are ranked 121st).

Julian Diaz put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 121 yards while picking up 7.1 yards per carry.

Meanwhile, while Clear Creek put up some points on Friday, the same can't be said for Clear Lake. The Wildcats enjoyed a cozy 19-0 win over the Falcons. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Clear Creek's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Brazoswood, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Everything came up roses for Brazoswood against Clear Creek in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 40-7 win. Will the Buccaneers repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
