Top girls basketball recruit Megan Walker received more than 1,200 letters from college programs

Monacan (Richmond, Va.) senior
Megan Walker, who signed with Connecticut on Thursday and is considered the nation's No. 1 player by ESPN.
According to Laura Fien of the Richmond Times-Dispatch, Walker received precisely 1,229 letters from 109 schools. Of those letters, 147 were sent by head coach Karen Aston's staff at Texas.
The 6-foot-1, do-it-all wing picked Geno Auriemma's Huskies over Notre Dame and Texas.
Walker averaged 21.4 points and 8.2 rebounds per game as a junior for Monacan, which won its second straight state title last season.
