In Thursday's Canine Competition, Twin Loup came out on top. They enjoyed a cozy 59-45 win over the Anselmo-Merna Coyotes on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Wolves sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Twin Loup's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Yahya Harris led the charge by putting up 16 points along with five rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Hall, who went 7 of 12 to rack up 15 points and seven boards.

Twin Loup smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in nine consecutive matchups.

Anselmo-Merna's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josiah Griffith, who went 6 for 15 en route to 18 points. Those 18 points gave Griffith a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Colin Wright, who posted nine points and five rebounds.

Twin Loup's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Anselmo-Merna, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Twin Loup didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-25 win against Elba on the 7th. As for Anselmo-Merna, they will face off against South Loup at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
