Soccer Recap: Mitchell Takes a Loss

Mitchell lost against Barr-Reeve back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bluejackets came up short against the Vikings, falling 9-2. While losing is never fun, Mitchell can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 313th, while Barr-Reeve are ranked 146th).

Boston True and Jayden Zepeda scored both of Mitchell's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 17 goals.

Mitchell moved to 3-11-1 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak. As for Barr-Reeve, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Looking ahead, Mitchell will challenge White River Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mitchell's defense better be ready for this one: White River Valley have averaged an impressive 4.3 goals per game this season. As for Barr-Reeve, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 10-0 win against North Knox on the 1st.
