Softball Recap: Trinity Takes a Loss

Trinity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Aurora Central Catholic Chargers, falling 14-1. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Blazers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Trinity saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elizabeth Miehlich, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Aurora Central Catholic, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Trinity will square off against De La Salle at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Blazers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Meteors have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season. As for Aurora Central Catholic, they will take on Richmond-Burton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Chargers 2.5, the Rockets 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
