Basketball Recap: East Valley Takes a Loss

East Valley and Orthopaedic squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but East Valley had to settle for second. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 52-51 to the Orthopaedic Vipers.

East Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jasper Meija, who to rack up 21 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Eero Wolfe, who on his way to 14 points and eight rebounds.

East Valley's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Orthopaedic, they pushed their record up to 20-5 with the win, which was their 14th straight on the road.

East Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Orthopaedic, they will face off against New West Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. New West Charter will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Orthopaedic surely won't give up without a fight.
