Baseball Recap: Stryker's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stryker). They blew past the Hamilton Marines 10-3 on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their eight-game losing streak.

William Donovan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 11 Ks.

On the hitting side, Bradley Williams was excellent, going 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Camden Boggess, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Stryker's victory bumped their record up to 2-11. As for Hamilton, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stryker will challenge Edon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hamilton, they will square off against Elkhart Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
