Blacklick Valley had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They put the hurt on the Ferndale Yellow Jackets with a sharp 9-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Tanner Cook, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nick Garver, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Blacklick Valley's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Ferndale, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.
