Softball Recap: Swan Valley Vikings vs. Alma Panthers

Swan Valley lost to Alma back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Vikings blew past the Panthers 15-0. The Vikings' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Mia Robinson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

In other batting news, Izzy Coffel was incredible, firing off two home runs, four runs, and five RBI while going 4-for-4. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Bryce, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Swan Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.
