Basketball Recap: Emmonak Comes Up Short

The Emmonak Huskies were beaten by the Hooper Bay Warriors 97-70 on Thursday. The Huskies have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hooper Bay to victory, but perhaps none more so than Billy Smith, who posted 21 points. The match was Smith's third in a row with at least 21 points. Thomas Smith was another key player, putting up 20 points.

Emmonak's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Hooper Bay, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
