Basketball Recap: Columbia Comes Up Short

Columbia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a 65-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ballston Spa Scotties. The Blue Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Scotties earlier this season, when they won 62-52.

Columbia's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Ballston Spa, their win bumped their record up to 7-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbia will venture away from home to face off against Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Columbia is facing Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake at the right time seeing as Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake is stuck on a 15-game losing streak. As for Ballston Spa, they will head out to take on Catholic Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Catholic Central's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Ballston Spa has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
