Basketball Game Preview: Johnson-Brock Eagles vs. Exeter-Milligan/Friend Bobcats

Johnson-Brock is 4-0 against Exeter-Milligan/Friend since January of 2024 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Johnson-Brock Eagles will be taking part in a tournament against the Exeter-Milligan/Friend Bobcats at 5:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Johnson-Brock sitting on 47 straight victories dating back to last season and Exeter-Milligan/Friend on four.

Johnson-Brock picked up another tournament win on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 69-43 margin over Southern. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 24 points or more this season.

Brody Koehler continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 20 points and nine boards. The contest was his third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Camden Dalinghaus, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 17 points and seven rebounds.

Johnson-Brock was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Meanwhile, Exeter-Milligan/Friend didn't have too much trouble with Pawnee City on Thursday as they won 73-59.

Exeter-Milligan/Friend's win bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Johnson-Brock, their victory bumped their record up to 19-0.

Johnson-Brock beat Exeter-Milligan/Friend 65-52 when the teams last played two weeks ago. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Exeter-Milligan/Friend's Grady Bresson, who went 10 for 12 en route to 24 points along with six boards and three steals. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Johnson-Brock still be able to contain Bresson? There's only one way to find out.
