Recap: Miami Christian Victors vs. Edison Private Eagles
The Miami Christian Victors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 22 points or more this season. They breezed by Edison Private at home to the tune of 83-36. Given Miami Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 240th, while Edison Private is ranked 809th), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Miami Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sebastian Gonzalez, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Gonzalez has scored at least 25% of Miami Christian's points. Chris Bravo was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with three steals.
Miami Christian is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Edison Private, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Miami Christian will stay at home for another game and welcome True North Classical Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Edison Private is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Greater Miami Academy at 4:00 a.m. on January 16th.
