West Orange had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.9 runs) and they went ahead and made it eight on Monday. They never let the Massapequa Chiefs get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory.

Lukas Stirewalt looked comfortable as he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in March.

On the hitting side, West Orange saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Miguel Acosta, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Javier Rivas was another, scoring a run and stealing a base.

West Orange pushed their record up to 16-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Orange will venture away from home to face off against Horizon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Massapequa, they will square off against Plainview-Old Bethpage JFK at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Massapequa's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
