Softball Recap: Hardin Northern Beats Bluffton for Their Fourth Straight Win

Hardin Northern waltzed into their game on Wednesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Bluffton Pirates.

Baylie Bacon was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Karli Fath, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

Hardin Northern pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bluffton, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Coming up, Hardin Northern will welcome Lima Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bluffton, they will challenge Vanlue at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.65 runs per game on average), something the Pirates will no doubt try to take advantage of.
