Benet Academy came out on top against Marian Catholic on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fifth inning. The Redwings blew past the Spartans 14-3. The result was nothing new for the Redwings, who have now won six matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Benet Academy and bumps their season record up to 11-7. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Marian Catholic, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

Benet Academy will challenge Naperville North at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Marian Catholic, they will venture away from home to take on Oak Forest at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bengals' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Spartans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
