Morgantown waltzed into their game on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against The Linsly School Cadets as they made off with a 12-4 victory. With that win, the Mohigans brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

LIZ ALSOP made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, ANNE ROBINSON was excellent, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Another player making a difference was CARPER MESSERLY, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Morgantown was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Morgantown now has a winning record of 7-6. As for The Linsly School, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morgantown will challenge University at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hawks will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last. As for The Linsly School, they will head out on the road to face off against Oak Glen at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
