Soccer Game Preview: Flower Mound vs. Braswell

The Flower Mound Jaguars will head out to square off against the Braswell Bengals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Flower Mound's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Tuesday, Flower Mound came up short against Lewisville and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, Flower Mound can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 379th, while Lewisville are ranked 186th).

Meanwhile, Braswell fell victim to Marcus and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Marauders, falling 8-0.

Braswell's loss dropped their record down to 2-14-3. As for Flower Mound, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10-3.

Flower Mound came out on top in a nail-biter against Braswell in their previous matchup back in January, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jaguars since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
