Basketball Game Preview: Hollis Tigers vs. Snyder Cyclones

Hollis and Snyder are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Hollis Tigers will venture away from home to take on the Snyder Cyclones at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Snyder took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Hollis, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Hollis didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Tipton, but they still walked away with a 44-39 win. The 44-point effort marked Hollis' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, Snyder scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They were beaten by Mangum 70-41. The defeat continues a trend for the Cyclones in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost three in a row.

Snyder's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Hollis, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Hollis didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Snyder in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 27-22 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hollis since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
