Volleyball Recap: Crested Butte Takes a Loss

Crested Butte lost against Telluride back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Titans fell just short of the Miners by a score of 3-2. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Crested Butte wouldn't go down easily and took Telluride into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-8, 25-21, 23-25, 15-11.

Ford Fenton was a one-woman wrecking crew For Telluride. as she had 15 digs and three aces. The dominant performance also gave Fenton a new career-high in kills (three).

Crested Butte's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Telluride, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

Looking ahead, Crested Butte will be playing at home against Custer County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Telluride, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Ignacio on the 27th.
