Volleyball Recap: Mead Takes a Loss

Mead was the 3-1 winner over Legacy when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mavericks took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lightning on Tuesday. The Mavericks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-23, 25-16, 24-26, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Mead still got an impressive performance from Alana Costello, who had 15 digs and two assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamdyn Morris, who had 11 assists and six digs.

Mead's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Legacy, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Mead is set to square off against their familiar foe Erie at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Legacy will take on rival Niwot at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
