Basketball Recap: Mack Dolloff Key Part of a Team Effort in Saints Win

On Friday, the Classical Saints didn't have too much breathing room in their game against the Republic County Buffaloes, but they still walked away with a 44-38 win. Given the Saints' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Buffaloes are ranked 296th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Classical to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mack Dolloff, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Abe Black, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 12 points and six boards.

The victory made it two in a row for Classical and bumps their season record up to 8-4. As for Republic County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

Classical will challenge Inman at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Classical is facing Inman at the right time seeing as Inman is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Republic County, they will square off against Southeast of Saline at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Southeast of Saline is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.4 points per game this season.
