Softball Recap: Gibraltar Takes a Loss

Oconto hit Gibraltar with a eight-run fourth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Vikings came up short against the Blue Devils, falling 13-3. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Blue Devils: they've now lost nine in a row.

Gibraltar saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Abby Jarosh, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Another was Pamela Prescott, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Gibraltar's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Oconto, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Oconto beat Gibraltar by a score of 15-1 later that day.
