Soccer Game Preview: Laurel vs. East Helena + How To Watch

The Laurel Locomotives will challenge the East Helena Vigilantes at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Laurel's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Laurel is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Montana's top teams: Park, who was ranked fifth at the time (Laurel was ranked seventh). The Locomotives fell just short of the Rangers by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that Laurel have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, East Helena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 10-0 to Billings Central Catholic.

Laurel's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for East Helena, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5-1.

Laurel took their victory against East Helena when the teams last played back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Locomotives repeat their success, or do the Vigilantes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
