South Florence lost to Beaufort back in May of 2021, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Bruins' pitcher stepped up to hand the Eagles a 2-0 shutout. The victory was familiar territory for the Bruins, who have now won four games in a row.

The result came thanks to Brayden Robinson's shutout, as he gave up just four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

South Florence's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-9. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Beaufort, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven games and leaves them with a 16-14 record.

South Florence will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
