Softball Recap: Central York Wins Going Away Against Lampeter-Strasburg

Central York had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Lampeter-Strasburg on Tuesday. Central York blew past Lampeter-Strasburg 13-6. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by seven runs or more this season.

Central York let Brooklyn Shaffer and Katie Gable run wild. Shaffer scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5, while Gable went 3-for-5 with four RBI and two runs. Those four RBI gave Gable a new career-high. Ellie Lamer was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Central York hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most three strikeouts in four consecutive matches.

Central York's record now sits at 4-2. As for Lampeter-Strasburg, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
