Softball Recap: Lincolnton Takes a Loss

In Wednesday's Canine Competition, Lincolnton didn't have enough. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Burns Bulldogs on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Wolves in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.

Lincolnton saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tanlee Eley, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Another was Bailey Hollar, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Lincolnton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Burns, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-6 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincolnton will face off against Maiden at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Burns, they will square off against Cherryville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
