Basketball Recap: Edgewood Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

North Putnam came into Saturday's match looking for another win against Edgewood, but Owen Mcgovern wouldn't allow it. The Edgewood Mustangs blew past the North Putnam Cougars 73-44 on Saturday thanks in part to Mcgovern, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 boards. Those 26 points gave him a new career-high.

The win made it two in a row for Edgewood and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for North Putnam, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Edgewood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-54 victory against Cascade on the 13th. As for North Putnam, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 45-40 loss against Monrovia on the 10th.
